As time goes by...

It seems that time is flying by and I'm unable to keep up! I'm very sorry it has been 5 weeks since my last entry...I will try to do better (key word: try!!)

We have been extremely busy this summer. Aubie has 1,000 camps and meetings he must attend (yes, that is a mild exaggeration) and while I enjoy having the kiddos all to myself, sometimes they gang up on me! I'm very fortunate that I have a fantastic family that is eager to help and I'm learning how to ask for help. I've always been able to "do it myself" so it's hard for me to admit that I can't do it all!

Gage is growing like a weed. He is considerably taller than he was this spring. He is SO excited about starting pre-k in August. He and cousin Addy picked out his new backpack last weekend! I'm not as excited about the change, and on occasion I get a little weepy about how quickly he has grown up. But then I think about our daycare bill and I realize that public school rocks!

In baby news, TARA HAS A TOOTH! Her gums started swelling over the weekend and then yesterday...poof! she had a tooth on the bottom right. Poor Tate's gums have been swollen for 2+ weeks now and he has been drooling like crazy and very (very) cranky, but no teeth yet. They are so close to the surface I think one good bite and they will come through!

Tara weighs 13# 13 oz and is 25" long. She is rolling around everywhere and is working on crawling. She's not going anywhere yet, but I don't think it will be much longer before she's able to chase Gage around!

Tate weighs 16# 14 oz and is 26" long. He talks all the time (don't know where he got that! ha) and is just the happiest baby you'll ever meet. He sleeps on his tummy and has, on occasion, slept through the night.

Aubie's birthday is this weekend. He'll be OLD (early 30's)!! I'll try to get a couple of family pictures to post so you can see how ancient he looks! ha ha.

All Star

Number six for YOUR State Farm Yard Dawgs is (to the tune of Thunderstruck) GAAAGE KUUH-ZEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Tball season has officially begun and Gage is loving it! We play two nights per week for 6 weeks. It is so fun to watch the kids...some were making dirt angels, some were using their glove for dirt scoops while others wore it as a face shield! Every now and then they would remember they were playing a ballgame and they'd catch a ball. Adorable!

We took the twins to the games this week. They really enjoyed being outside and they were great cheerleaders! Tate is feeling better (he had a touch of bronchitis last week) and they have gotten back to their regular sleep schedule (only waking once around 2 a.m.).

Have a great weekend.

Healthy babies

I took Tara and Tate to the doctor for their 4 month appointment Tuesday. They are both doing great! We feel like the luckiest parents because we have been blessed with 3 amazing, healthy kids!
Tate's wheezing is better. I'm allowed to do his breathing treatments "on demand" instead of a schedule. He tips the scales at 15 lbs, 3 oz and is 23 1/4" long.

Tara is suffering from a case of dry skin but everything else is fantastic. She impressed the doctor with her strength. She weighs 12 lbs, 9 oz and is 23 3/4" long...yes you read that right...she is longer than Tate and 2 lbs, 10 oz lighter!!! So, while she might look a lot like her mother, she seems to be growing like her father!!

I also had my first "solo" night. Aubie had an overnight meeting last week and I had all 3 kids, alone, on a week night. We managed ok (only Gage got a bath that night, but we didn't smell too bad!) and I even made it to work on time the next day!!

I've included their 4 month studio pictures. Have a great week.

4 months

We are all doing ok. Tara rolled over on Saturday (May 2). Aubie and I were both able to see it...which means everything to us!! I've started introducing them to rice cereal. Tara isn't really sure about it, but the spoons look like fun.!! We're taking them tomorrow to have their pictures made. I can't believe it's already time for that again.

Tate is great. He's not at all ready to roll over yet...his head is a little heavier than Tara's so it's going to take more upper body strength to push everything to one side!! He still smiles a lot and gives lots of giggles. He thinks he likes cereal, but it would be easier if I would just let him eat with his hands (or so he thinks!) I think he's going to get teeth first. His bottom gums are starting to get puffy and the extreme drooling has begun.

Gage has an earache and mild fever, but I'm sure it will pass soon. We can tell it's not too serious because as soon as his Tylenol kicks in he's ready to play again! He had a lot of fun playing with Dustin, Josh and Eric last week (some of our college friends that come in every year for a hunting weekend.) He wants to wear his camo pants everyday like the guys did!! Too cute.

I hope you enjoy the picture. Have a great Mother's Day weekend.

2 posts in one day...a record!!

I finally found the camera cable so here are a few weeks worth of pictures. Sorry if some are blurry. I had the camera on the wrong setting for...well, I don't know for how long!!!

lovely faces!

Easter!
At Grandma Brooks' house.

Ahhhh...quiet.

As a mom I repeat many things over and over again...the most recent catch phrase has been for everyone to be quiet!! The twins have no obvious signs of ever having breathing issues. Their lungs are very strong!! They can scream until you think your eardrums will burst. Gage has found, what I affectionately call his Keesee voice, which is LOUD! And it's usually loud for no apparent reason. He just talks decibels above the volume required for us to hear him. So, while we once poked fun at my sister-in-law for living in the "loud house" (she also has 3 children) I think we could now compete with them!

The twins are doing great. Tate is still taking breathing treatments for his wheezing. I really think a lot of it is due to the insane weather changes and allergies. He is a chunker with rolls of beautiful baby fat on his arms and legs. He has a wonderful disposition. He smiles a lot and he has the funniest giggle. It's like a chuckle but deeper in his throat. He "talks" all the time (add this to the above mentioned noise!) and while he hasn't said anything meaningful yet I can tell that mama is on the way!!

Tara is still a petite thing. She seems very reserved. She does not hand out smiles by the dozen like her brothers...you must earn them!! But when you finally prove to her that you deserve one it is the most beautiful thing in the world. Her entire face lights up and her steel-blue eyes dance!

Gage really enjoys t-ball. Aub might be right...we might have a future Cub or Ranger on our hands! He has been asking a million questions about tornadoes. Its not easy to explain to a 4 year old, but it is part of our Oklahoma life!

The many looks of Gage...

It is always a surprise when Gage gets in front of the camera!
