2 posts in one day...a record!!
I finally found the camera cable so here are a few weeks worth of pictures. Sorry if some are blurry. I had the camera on the wrong setting for...well, I don't know for how long!!!Ahhhh...quiet.
As a mom I repeat many things over and over again...the most recent catch phrase has been for everyone to be quiet!! The twins have no obvious signs of ever having breathing issues. Their lungs are very strong!! They can scream until you think your eardrums will burst. Gage has found, what I affectionately call his Keesee voice, which is LOUD! And it's usually loud for no apparent reason. He just talks decibels above the volume required for us to hear him. So, while we once poked fun at my sister-in-law for living in the "loud house" (she also has 3 children) I think we could now compete with them!
The twins are doing great. Tate is still taking breathing treatments for his wheezing. I really think a lot of it is due to the insane weather changes and allergies. He is a chunker with rolls of beautiful baby fat on his arms and legs. He has a wonderful disposition. He smiles a lot and he has the funniest giggle. It's like a chuckle but deeper in his throat. He "talks" all the time (add this to the above mentioned noise!) and while he hasn't said anything meaningful yet I can tell that mama is on the way!!
Tara is still a petite thing. She seems very reserved. She does not hand out smiles by the dozen like her brothers...you must earn them!! But when you finally prove to her that you deserve one it is the most beautiful thing in the world. Her entire face lights up and her steel-blue eyes dance!
Gage really enjoys t-ball. Aub might be right...we might have a future Cub or Ranger on our hands! He has been asking a million questions about tornadoes. Its not easy to explain to a 4 year old, but it is part of our Oklahoma life!

11 weeks old...already??
MY GOSH...time is flying!! I can't believe how big our babies are getting (all 3 of them!!) Tate and Tara are doing great. This week they have started sleeping better. They go to bed at 9:00 pm and usually wake up around 1:30 am and again around 5:00 am. This is a vast improvement from the 4+ times we have been waking up with them!!! I'm just tired now instead of a sleep-deprived zombie!! ha ha! The twins woke up with stuffy noses this morning...I'm sure a result of the crazy Oklahoma weather.
Gage is doing well too. He is (finally) getting taller and he's very excited to start pre-k in August. We have signed him up for t-ball this summer and he's thrilled to have his own ball bat and glove!!
I have new pictures to post, but at the moment I can't find the camera cable!!

(Almost) 10 weeks old
The check up went great yesterday. Tara weighs 9 lbs, 10 oz and is 20 3/4" long. Big Tate tips the scales at 11 lbs, 8 oz and 21 1/2" long. The doctor is very pleased with their progress. Tate has a herniated belly button, but the doctor said almost all cases heal themselves with no medical intervention.
The shots were worse than I imagined...Aub and I both teared up!! But we're done for 2 more months (and then I'll beg him to take them by himself!!)

fun pictures

I'm taking the twins to the doctor for a check up this afternoon then it's time for their first round of shots. As much as I'd like to skip it, I know it is necessary...but couldn't they make immunizations in candy form??? It would be a lot easier for the kids and parents!
The pictures are of Toto (our puppy with the same birthday as the twins!), Tate wearing my ring and Tara wearing Aub's ring. Don't you just love baby feet?!?! I'll post about their check up tomorrow.

It has been wild...

I'm sorry we haven't posted in a few weeks...things have been chaotic! I returned to work on March 2nd (boo)and my mom has been watching the twins for us. She was very sick the first week I went back to work so we had to change schedules and improvise...which made an already stressful time even more stressful!! (No fault of her own. It was just bad timing for tonsillitis. She is feeling better but still doesn't have a voice. Aub says she sounds like Minnie Mouse!) Everyone is currently feeling great and work is...well it's paying the bills!!!
We took the twins to have pictures made on March 2nd also. We wanted to have them made when they were 5 weeks old because that's when we had Gage's made, but they were sick that week so they were 7 weeks old before we were able to take them out. I will scan the pictures next week and post them. They are so cute!!
Tate is growing like a weed. He is super chunky and just adorable. He's suffering from reflux (that's what we think it is) so he constantly smells like spit, but even that is cute!! He still doesn't like tummy time but he loves to look out the window.
Tara is still a tiny little thing (we're guessing her around 9 lbs!) She is very strong and holds her head up very well. She is also very loud when things are not going her way! Her favorite toy is a green frog that Gage played with when he was little. She'll stare at froggy until her eyes cross!
The whole family made an outing last night. We went to Okemah to a Mexican restaurant Aub had heard about. All 3 kids were very well behaved and the food was good. It will take time for us to get accustomed to being "attractions." We had 4 complete strangers come over to see the twins and talk to Gage! We stopped at the grocery store and people were pointing at us. Everyone was super friendly, it is just an adjustment for us!!
I've posted pictures of the twins on their 2-month birthday.
